Final Update From Kylie!!!
13 September 2022Ohhhweee what a roller coaster of a few months. I’ve been doing dialysis 3x a week for 4.5 hours ecg time. Travelling to and from Waikato for treatment, which makes it hard as I miss out on quality time with my family and are really looong days. I have met some wonderful people through this journey of CKD.
Since our last update my donor and I have received news that we are a complete match for our transplant which is the most amazing feeling. We are just awaiting a date. We sadly got covid (funnily both at the same time 😬) which pushed back our surgery another 7 weeks. We are coming to the end of that wait, that has brought more costs due to travel between hospitals for longer amongst other financial shit that comes with this journey.
This has been such a big challenge in my life and I’ve grown and learnt so much not only about my own body mind and soul but what the health system is really eye opening! Anyway thank you all for your support and love over this journey!!
Kia Kaha and be f*%king kind!!!
Kylie 💜
*Both Kylie and her donor have children that they will be away from for weeks following the surgery so any donations at this time will be so hugely appreciated!! Thank you all for the support and kindness you’ve shown this wonderful family so far!
