Surgery’s now done - well 2 out of 3. I’ve put the final one on hold for now, I can manage as it is.

But huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and supported me in other ways during my time off. I appreciate everyone so much. Now I can get back to life with my number 1 little fella & pain is no longer a daily burden

I’m checked in, signed all my forms & got changed into my gorgeous hospital gown. Shoulder Marked & about 5 different people who will all be doing different things in theatre have all come to chat & ask a hundred questions. (I’m not complaining, I feel better knowing they’re being thorough)

Im first on the list this morning, so about to go get my IV & off I go. See you on the other-side & Thanks again for all the support

Finally written proof the surgery is happening! Unless I get pushed out by a strike or emergency. Otherwise BRING ON THURSDAY!!! I’m really excited but also really nervous. I don’t remember how it feels to have a “normal” pain free shoulder. I have so many missed moments in my pregnancy & his new born years. I need this to work, I REALLY need this to work 🥹 Thank you all for the incredible generosity you’ve shown me 🥰 it means more to me than I can ever express.

Keep sharing this page & encouraging other to help if they would like. Every single dollar counts 🥰

  • Waiting game

      27 August 2025

I’m currently waiting on approval to get my shoulder surgery now that my tonsillectomy is done & healed. I got this text below from the nurse 26th August 2025

Hi thank you for your call. Due to unforeseen circumstances including surgeon leave, emergency cases, we are unable to provide a time frame for your surgery. Here is the number of the perioperative nurse coordinator *#*#*#*. Please text the number quoting your NHI with any questions. Please be aware that a response may be delayed due to the volume of enquiries and short staffing. Please see your GP for any questions related to symptom management.

So I’ve contacted all I can & I am doing my best to be patient. But in the meantime the pain is still overpowering my daily life & I continue to need extremely powerful pain relief 2+ times a day.

Had surgery today to get my tonsils out which the medical team decided was the most pressing surgery. Just a day stay & I was out before dinner time. Once I’ve healed from this they will then discuss my AC joint repair surgery.

I had my pre- anaesthetic appointment this morning at hospital. They took bloods, did an ecg, height & weight and discussed my current medications.

All okay to go ahead with surgery but just figuring out which is more important to do first.

Looking like my tonsillectomy first unfortunately before my AC joint repair (which is the most necessary) But If I keep getting tonsillitis then my shoulder surgery would get postponed anyway.
