Skin removal surgery

Hi, my name is Angelina, and I’m fundraising for life-changing skin removal surgery in Istanbul, Turkey.

After reaching my highest weight of 128kg in March 2020, I made the commitment to take control of my health. As of today (1st August 2025), I weigh 65kg and have maintained this for some time. While I’m proud of how far I’ve come, there’s one major barrier that continues to affect my daily life — excess loose skin.

Why Turkey?

Surgery costs in New Zealand are incredibly high and out of reach for me. Turkey offers world-class care at more affordable prices.

Why I Need This Surgery

Living with excess skin is painful, frustrating, and emotionally draining. It’s especially difficult in hot and humid weather, where I constantly battle rashes and discomfort, particularly between my thighs. It affects how I walk. I’m still carrying extra kilos — not in fat, but in skin.

My Journey

For years, my health challenges were invisible. I wasn’t diagnosed with endometriosis for 20 years — I had three surgeries for it in 2023. It also took 15 years to finally be diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, which I had surgery for in 2024.

Getting those health issues addressed meant I had increased mobility and live with less pain. This skin removal surgery is the final step for comfort and mobility.
