As the 1 year anniversary of our son Gabriel's stillbirth approaches, we are raising funds to buy some moses baskets (extra small) for the families who will be admitted to Auckland Hospital Women's Assessment Unit this Christmas.

We wish we were sending photos of Gabriel eating his first mooshed up Christmas meal, dressed in a reindeer suit but instead we will be using this page to post Virtual Christmas cards to our friends - your 'card' will be a donation of about $2.50 - roughly what would cover the cost of a card and postage. We've grouped our friends by location to add up to the cost of a small doll sized moses basket ($29 each) for babies who don't make it this Christmas & New Year. Each basket has a special name in honour of each special group of friends.

Families of still babies can use as beds for their little angels. These baskets can have ice packs placed in them to keep baby cool and allow families more time together. The can also be used for babies funeral.

Elizabeth & Stu Reed's involvement (page creator)

We will be buying small Moses Baskets for stillborn babies or babies who die shortly after birth. They will be given to Auckland Hospital Women's Assessment Unit. Each basket costs $29.

Use of funds

We will be buying some small doll sized moses baskets which families of still babies can use as beds for their little angels. Any excess funds will be spent on making some foam mattresses covered in fabric kindly donated by Nature Baby.
