Volunteering as a Speech Language Therapist in Samoa providing Autism training is a dream which needs your help to come to true
Nationwide
Dreams do come true!
I am a speech and language therapist who has been dreaming of the opportunity to provide access to speech therapy through volunteering abroad.
One week ago I found out I have the opportunity to travel to Samoa and do exactly that! An opportunity not to be missed.
So... I am headed to Samoa as part of a therapy team via the Altus Trust working alongside my colleagues to run an Autism training course in the next school holidays.
However I have struck a barrier: Flights to Samoa return during school holidays are between $700-$1000!! Which is a figure I am not able to afford in the next few weeks... We will also be bringing with us training packs and resources which may require extra luggage. And that is why I am seeking your help!
Give a little or a lot, I would be forever thankful as you help not only my dream come alive but also support the good work of the Altus Trust and the children in need in Samoa.
A little bit about me:
I am an artist, a writer, an illustrator, an actor, regular volunteer (e.g. RDA and SPCA), and a speech therapist working in special schools around Auckland.
I love my job, people, animals, family, friends, good books, surfing, yoga, volunteering, gardening, dancing, singing, acting, art, the outdoors, being active, and enjoying what life brings.
I love new challenges and cannot wait for the adventures Samoa will bring :)
