The Miller family of Pukekohe have had the devastating news that their son Brennan's Ewing's Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) has recurred.
Pukekohe, Auckland
In November 2020 Brennan Miller was a happy healthy 15-year-old until he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of bone cancer.
In July this year, after surgeries, chemotherapy, and many other procedures, Michelle and Nigel received the news that Brennan was cancer free.
Late August, Brennan had become a little unwell, and was diagnosed initially with pneumonia & pleurisy, a lung specialist was brought in to do further tests because of Brennan's history. They were given the devastating news that the biopsy results showed positive for Ewing's Sarcoma located in the lining of his right lung with a pleural effusion. High Dose Chemo started Thursday 25th August which will run for 5 days every 3 weeks.
The family remain steadfast in their positive mindset that he will beat this thing, as does Brennan.
However, now Brennan is 17, he has been transferred to adults from starship, and the family is not entitled to the support they had previously. Nigel is Self Employed and has needed to take time off work to help with their two teenage girls, Kennedy & Zara. Michelle works full time, however, stays at the hospital with Brennan when he has his treatment so is unable to return to work at present.
Michelle and I are cousins, although she is more like a sister.
The money will be spent on Petrol, Car parking, Food and household expenses to assist the family while Michelle is on reduced work hours
