Small family-owned NZ adventure tourism business

Queenstown, Otago

SnowMoto NZ is a small family-owned business located at the foot of the Southern Alps, Queenstown. SnowMoto provides an epic adventure packed experience and is the only snow bike experience in the southern hemisphere.

Hamish fell in love with snow biking in Canada and put his life savings into bringing a container load of snow bikes and gear back to NZ for kiwis alike to be able to experience the epic adventure themselves.

Hamish is a hard worker and dedicates all his time to his business, taking some time off recently to welcome his daughter into the world before the season starts. Unfortunately, the storage container in Queenstown was broken into cleaned out. 100K worth of bikes & gear have been stolen. The insurance will only cover a partial amount of what has been taken.

The past few years on NZ tourism has been rough and the winter season about to kick off in mid-June and the boarders finally open. Hamish is not one to ask for help but we want to do everything we can to help recover some of the loss. This gear is unique and specific and will have to be airfreighted to NZ from around the world to be able to operate in time for the season ahead.

A link to an article by Stuff News is attached. If you are unable to donate money the sharing of this article would be a huge help. If you can donate in any way, it would be immensely appreciated.

The theft is currently being investigated by NZ Police and if the gear can be recovered any funds raised will be donated to NZ charity.
