Sober October

SOBER OCTOBER...Michael Oliver, Stacey Ellis, and I are all completing a ‘Sober October’ challenge!

We have decided to raise money for the Russell Cancer Coffee Cake Support Group, supporting people within our local community throughout their cancer journey.

For us, cancer is something that we all hold close to our hearts. We have all watched loved ones go through cancer, whether this is chemotherapy or other treatments.

Unfortunately, we have seen some of our close friends and family lose their cancer battle. Having the opportunity to raise money for our locals, and their journey is a privilege that gives us so much motivation.

As well as raising money for this cause, we will also be accepting and encouraging vouchers from local businesses.

The Russell Cancer Coffee Cake Support Group is an amazing group that is led by Shan Calcott. Her generosity and time that she puts forward in this group allow for every member to feel loved and supported within the beautiful Russell Community.

This group has been founded to help ladies, and men, of all ages, types and stages of cancer. Whether a member of the group needs support that week, a walk along the beach, a coffee date, ferry card top-ups, and petrol vouchers to get to their treatment the group is always on hand to help.
