Light is essential to communicate when you are deaf. Help the kids living at Mountain View to communicate after 6.30pm with solar light.

Mountain View is a primary (boarding) school in Malawi for 160 deaf students. No electricity is a very frequent occurrence at Mountain View.
Having no electricity is especially difficult when you are living in a school for deaf children. Without light they can no longer sign and therefore the conversation stops.
In Malawi it gets dark by 6.30pm. That is many hours for young children away from home to not be able to communicate with anyone.
We want to change this by providing solar lights to the school. Introducing solar lamps to the young children's dormitories will help them lead a more normal life with their friends. It will also help them get safely back to their dormitory from the dining room.
Marshida is volunteering as a teacher at Mountain View School.
The money raised will be used to purchase solar lamps for the school.
