Some Heroes wear capes, some click 'donate' (we love you!)

Hi everyone! We’re James and Sam Crowther-Beale — two everyday Kiwis (well, one Pomiwi) with a not-so-everyday dream: to represent New Zealand at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Sweden this September!

Over the past few years, we’ve been pouring ourselves into training — early mornings, late nights, muddy weekends, and more burpees than any sane person should ever do (seriously, so many burpees). We’ve tackled races, refined our skills, and somehow juggled it all around full-time jobs, a busy household, and our three awesome kids — who think we’re either superheroes or slightly unhinged. Probably both.

And now… we’ve done it. We’ve officially qualified to wear the silver fern on the world stage. It’s an absolute dream come true for us both.

But here’s the catch: dreams like this don’t come cheap. Travel, accommodation, gear, and entry fees — it all adds up faster than you can say “wall climb to monkey bars to sandbag carry.” As much as we’d love to fund it ourselves, the reality is we need a bit of help to get there.
