      1 April 2019

This time two weeks ago, Tarsh said a teary goodbye to her children and friends as she went in to have surgery to have her new heart put in.

She was woken just a short 24 hrs later and up out of bed within 48 hours.

Ten days later sent to Hearty towers. Most are here 2-3 weeks later.

Treated for rejection with high dose drugs the last 3 days which have made her feel awful.

Over all she is doing phenomenally.

This week can only get better.

All donations go toward petrol for caregivers to get too and from Hearty towers. Food for her and care givers during her stay up, as this is not supplied. Gas for her children to visit her. Unsubsidised medication and any other cost involved during her stay at Hearty towers as is not govt funded - she pays for everything while there.

Tarsh is awake and doing really well.

She's tired and in quite a bit of discomfort but it's expected after such a big operation.

Hoping to be moved into a ward and will be in hospital for around 6 weeks if all continues to go well.

This woman is incredible, she shows strength and courage beyond words ❤❤❤

Tarsh's operation went well. She is currently in ICU and is being closely monitored.

She will possibly be woken either this evening or tomorrow.

Two days ago Tarsh's meds and settings on LVAD changed. Made her feel faint and almost black out muliple times. She has been admitted back to Auckland City Hospital. She was so close to being able to go home :(

      18 December 2018

Tarsh is still recovering from her op. It has been a slow but good recovery and she is doing really well.

She is walking around with a zimmer frame but not by herself yet, she also stood in the shower today... all things many of us take for granted but are huge accomplishments for her. She can talk and eat now too and Docs are looking at removing her feeding tube tomorrow.

She will be transferred to Hearty Towers house approximately 26th Dec to have close hospital access as her recovery progesses. This is great news however this means she will have to pay for and supply all her food and whatever else she requires for personal needs. She still has the expense of reimbursing people petrol money so her children can day visit and occasionally stay the night.

Tarsh has lost alot of weight and needs to purchase some cheap smaller clothes to wear as nothing she has fits anymore.

Although she's doing well, kind donations would be incredibly appreciated to assist Tarsh with the extra costs that keep popping up. (We understand this is hard being so close to Christmas - but even the small donations make a difference)

Thank you for all the messages, help and thoughts during this time for Tarsh. Words alone cannot express our gratitude ❤

Tarsh had her surgery to last Thursday and is in stable condition.

She's in ICU and remains sedated. However she responded to her daughter's voice today, briefly opened her eyes and moved her hand.

She has a temperature so that will be monitored.

Doctors say they might remove the device helping the right side of her heart tomorrow.

Please continue to send positive vibes her way.

Thank you to all whom have shown support through such a tough time. Every gesture is appreciated so much ❤❤

Tarshs is in ICU at Auckland hospital and extremely sick.

Tarsh is having a LVAD heart pump put in on Thursday morning they have said she will probably be first on the list. This operation is very high risk. After the operation she will be in icu asleep for about 2 days and then in a ward for a couple of weeks and then home for Christmas 🎄 without this operation she won't make it much longer. Keep the positive vibes coming ❤

Please don't msg her it has just become too much, she is very unwell and has no energy. You are all more than welcome to msg Deborah (mentioned in previous update) or Nita Scott (her other main carer) to ask questions.

      Hi,

Can you let Trash know I'm thinking of her. Hope things pick up soon. No one deserves what she's going through.

      Dan.

Yesterday Tarsh had a right heart study done.

Lungs look all good but left and right heart is bad which they knew from the echocardiogram.

Her case was presented today to the whole transplant team to see if she is stable enough to get on the active transplant list.

She received great news that she is made it on the list!!! Such wonderful news!! Please keep all your best wishes withTarsh, she still has one heck of a journey ahead.

    💔💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tarsh has managed to get rid of alot of fluid which is great, however its caused her to lose alot of potassium.

Tarsh has had 2 cardiac arrests as a result of a combination of the strong drugs she is taking and the right side of her heart failing (because its compensated for the left side heart faliure). She is stable now. The reality is she wont go home without having transplant or she could die in hospital waiting.

If you're friends or family, please contact Tarsh's daughter Kasey or friends Deborah or Logan
