Somerfield Park Needs a New Picnic Table area-our Local Community groups/SRA wish to design/build this project & Need You to Donate please!

Somerfield Residents Association alongside Cashmere High School Year 13 class, and Southern Institute of Technology students are working voluntarily to design and build a New Community Picnic Table Area for all of our families, Sports groups, & Individuals to encourage to utilise for more social groups & events at Somerfield Park.

This project will require substantial funding particularly for the excavation & concreting of the large table & area - costing approx. $5000 total!

We NEED our community to assist with helping to fund this please while also encouraging participation & interest in our awesome community project.

On Behalf of our Somerfield Residents, SRA, CHS, & SIT & local volunteers I am assisting to manage & co-ordinate the whole project while organising regular planning meetings. I am seeking to source an adequate amount of funding for the project & event. I am communicating via Facebook, Twitter, email and local posters to ensure all of our community is aware of our project and event. I am ensuring good advertising is being given via Southern View Newspaper & our SRA Newsletters, & Radio Happenings. I will ensure there are adequate volunteers for our project & event.
