Orthoptist showed that nothing much has changed but he wouldn't expect it after only 17 treatments.

Sophia had a platelet transfusion on Monday the 12th October. She was very well in herself but the blood results said that she wasn't doing so well. Shes still doing great and we will be back at Starship 27th October for her next treatment then we will be back to weekly chemo.
Sophia has had a few treatments since the last up date and has dealt with them really well so she got to get her tube out!!. Shes so happy but knows it may get put back in but for now its gone. Shes also very happy that her hair is growing back.
So as said in the other updates, Sophia has spent a fair amount of time in hospitals weather it be for blood transfusions, dehydration, failure to thrive, low blood levels.
She spent two weeks in Palmserston North Hospital to get her feeding sorted, but that has paid off as she's gaining weight.
Sophia has been able to join in at playgroups and music groups despite having to cart her pump with her,
We are off to Auckland for a few days this week and we hope we can miss a hospital visit after her chemo this time,
Sorry photo is a bit old but putting some photos in the gallery soon.
Sophia has ad a tube for a few months now. Things started getting worse when she lost 3kgs and kept throwing up her tube food and not eating oral food either.
She now has a pump that she stays on for 20hrs a day and is back to her happy cheeky self and is now gaining weight and nearly back where she was pre treatment.
The tube is making Sophia's life a wee bit harder as she's always attached to her tube and doesn't leave much time for her to run around. But she seems to be coping well with it all.
Sophia had a blood transfusion a month ago. Things didn't go to plan to we got there eventually. A day trip to the ward turned into a week. With high temps and antibiotics on top of the transfusion.
