Welcome to the family!

SouperVan is a family run traveling soup kitchen serving the needs of some of New Zealand’s most at risk families and homeless.

Ian, Anna and baby Blessing (13 months old) providing nutritious free food around the country as a 100% not for profit service incorporating 3 passions:

#1 Helping others All of us with a heart wish we could help more when we see people in need but it can feel overwhelming and most of us don’t know where to start. Ian has spent the best part of 20 years working on different projects and working with our homeless and drug effected members of the community. His passion for helping others has seen him working for free in Australia and New Zealand alike.

#2 Cooking Ian has worked in kitchens on and off for most of his life whilst being head chef many times he also took a role as the executive chef of the prestigious waterfront boat club situated on the Brisbane River Australia. His passion for cooking has lead him to this current venture sharing his skills for free with some of our most at risk citizens.

#3 Travel Ian and Anna met traveling and it’s in the blood as both have spent years on the road with Ian spending 15 years working from Vans and living a very minimalist lifestyle. Blessing a 12 month old baby girl was a much welcomed edition to the family and has spent her life so far on the road with this dynamic duo.

This trifecta of interests gave birth to SouperVan a small van used for traveling with an outdoor kitchen and 100% self-funded! The need is far greater than the little van can handle and this little family is seeking sponsors to take this amazing venture to the next level! A BUS!!

That’s right a BUS is the goal with a huge commercial kitchen that can cater for far more people whist visiting some of the worse effected parts of this great land to lend a much needed hand and need help to make this happen. SouperVan is seeking donations of a large bus to convert into a huge mobile soup kitchen and food gift cards to keep this dream alive and help 1000’s more people across New Zealand.

Stay tuned as things heat up with a YouTube channel coming soon as we near purchasing the bus! We are selling almost everything we have to give this the best chance of success and your individual donation will help as help SO MANY people all over New Zealand. Contact Ian via messenger on the facebook page and group (SouperVan New Zealand) for more details of how you can help make a difference and thanks for being part of the SouperVan journey! and thanks for your donation!
