South Canterbury Remembers - an Aviation Heritage Centre Project. Help us remember those who didn't make it home.
Timaru, Canterbury
Did you know, there are more than 230 men from South Canterbury who lost their lives while serving New Zealand in aviation? The ‘South Canterbury Remembers’ project aims to honour and preserve the memory of each of them. The vast majority are young men who lost their lives during World War Two. We are creating a memorial exhibition which will be displayed in our museum. Once complete, we hope to open the exhibition with a memorial service.
As we are a non-profit organisation and this project is being created by volunteers, we are fundraising to help contribute to the costs of the printing and materials needed to make the exhibition, and to help with costs for the memorial service.
