South Taranaki Survivor Advocate

I am a survivor of childhood sexual assault. It has taken me many years to get to my place of healing. Everyone's road to healing is different. But I am at a place now where I want to take all the negative things that happened to me and turn them into a positive by helping other survivors of sexual assault a shoulder, a voice, someone to stand by their side, to let them speak to someone who gets it, who understands, the troubles, the anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, C-PTSD etc. Someone who knows the horrors of the daily stress our mind goes through.

I am here to offer support with things like;

going to the doctors

ACC

Video evidence/statements to Police

sexual assault examinations

Finding the right fir counselor/Psychologist

Support in court

support for your family/whanau

help with the healing journey

I work on my own at this stage, and have no funding at this stage. (But working on it).

My services are free to anyone who needs them. This page will just help me with my costs, so I can keep my service free to my clients.

There are no other services like this for people in South Taranaki, they either have to go to New Plymouth or Whanganui. And that is a cost most can't afford.

I also offer for free a "Protecting Children from Sexual Assault" workshop for adults who want to be proactive and keep their kids/whanau safe.
