Showing off more of the Southern end of NZ to enhance recreation & tourism opportunities.
Southland
We have had some great feedback from people who use our cameras and would love to further extend into other areas that we've been asked about.
It is hoped to get more cameras around to the western side of the South Coast and even some inland. Although Aurora spotters, boaties and divers are keen on coastal views to see the surf and sky, parts of our network are also used by some private aircraft operators and there is room to support Emergency Helicopter Crews with live footage of weather in areas of interest.
We have support from some tower holders to put cameras up but need the funds to buy the cameras in the first instance. Any funds towards cameras and suggestions of key sites we could look at trying to cover would be greatly appreciated.
Use of funds
More quality cameras and sites, especially round the South Coast.
