Good progress toward the rebuild project!
16 November 2016We're thrilled to let our supporters know that our capital fundraising campaign is doing very well. The $28,612 raised through this Givealittle page so far adds to our other fundraising efforts including community events and successful grant applications. The overall running total as at now is $909,000, which means we're almost two-thirds of the way to our goal. It also means that we have enough to start on the first building complex, which includes two veterinary consultation rooms for incoming animals, an adoption reception area for outgoing animals, a laundry to house the industrial-strength machines we need, and the all-important education room for community groups who visit our centre. We are thrilled to be able to start moving forward with stage one of the plan, and now we look to finish the fundraising efforts for the remainder of the buildings. The second building complex will be a dog isolation facility for incoming canines. This improvement will allow us to continue rescuing dogs like those we have uploaded in our new video today. These dogs need a warm, healthy environment to enter when they first arrive to us, this is exactly what we plan to build them with your help. Please share and help us reach the final goal!
Thank you all - from the dedicated team at SPCA Otago
