Sponsored run to support the Onehunga High Girls First XI Football Team to get to Nationals!

The Onehunga High School Girls First XI Football Team will be heading to Nationals for the first time in ten years. The girls have done extremely well fighting their way to Nationals past much bigger schools, such as Hamilton Girls High School, and we need your help to send them there. The girls have had a fabulous season finishing 2nd in the A1 league in Auckland and qualifying to play in the Auckland Premier division next year, as well as qualifying for Nationals. We would love to reward all of their hard work by helping all of the squad to get to Nationals which are being held in Taupo between 28th August and 1st September 2023.

The girls are doing a 6k sponsored run to raise money for the trip to Nationals. We want to help cover the cost of accommodation, transport, food, etc. The total cost is $650 each for each of the 16 girls. We want to bring this down by raising as much as possible. Our target is $4,000 which would reduce the cost by $250 each. The fun run will be held on Monday 21st August around Onehunga Bay and Taumanu Reserve.
