Give a gift this Christmas to New Zealand Riding for the Disabled and make a difference for disabled children and adults across New Zealand.
Porirua City Centre, Porirua
There are many significant therapeutic benefits that horse riding offers. The warmth and three-dimensional movement of the horse is transmitted through the rider’s body, gradually making the rider more relaxed and supple, reducing spasms and improving their core strength, balance, posture and co-ordination.
But did you know that many riders require the assistance of up to four people to support them? These include the coach, the horse leader, and up to two side-walkers. RDA could not operate without our amazing volunteers, so you can see why they are so important to us!
This Christmas, we’re raising funds to help support and train our dedicated volunteers and we need your help in reaching our $10,000 goal!
Make a gift for our ‘Support for Volunteering’ programme by donating before 20 December 2023 and help us to start the New Year with renewed positivity. Visit us again to track our progress toward the $10,000 milestone!
We provide high-quality training and support for 40 plus RDA groups throughout NZ. Our vision is to provide more riders with life-changing horse-riding opportunities and to enable them to increase their ability, independence and self-worth.
