Fundraiser to purchase lifesaving medical supplies for state hospitals.

Sri Lanka is presently undergoing a huge economic crisis for the first time in history since its independence. The impact of COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis has led to severely depleted exchange reserves preventing the purchase of many essential items including lifesaving medicine and medical devices, critical to the survival of the hospitals and the ongoing care of patients.

How we intend to maintain transparency of this fundraiser

We are working closely with state hospital staff (Karapitiaya Hospital in Galle and Base Hospital in Pottuvil) to ensure that the funds raised through this initiative, are used to purchase the medicines and drugs desperately required by the hospital. We are a registered charitable organization and can provide necessary information to our donors. All funds raised will be used for the said purpose and will be purchased by the NZSLF through the agents recommended by the hospital. We will endeavour to maintain absolute transparency and ensure that we share updates and report on how we have executed the purchase of medicine with our generous donors.
