Sri Lanka Cyclone Relief Appeal
Together we bring hope, relief, and support to Sri Lanka in its time of crisis.
Sri Lanka is facing a severe natural disaster as destructive cyclone conditions continue to sweep across the country. The devastation has been heartbreaking — lives have been lost, families displaced, homes destroyed, and many are without basic needs. Communities are enduring deep hardship and uncertainty.
In response, Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple in Auckland has initiated this fundraising campaign to support affected Sri Lankans through emergency relief — including food, clean water, temporary shelter, medical support, and assistance for rebuilding livelihoods.
We warmly invite the Sri Lankan community, the wider New Zealand community, friends of Sri Lanka, and all compassionate individuals to contribute whatever they can. Every gesture of generosity brings hope to families in hardship.
NZSLBT is a registered charity with IRD-approved donee status, and because our charitable purposes meet the required criteria, donations over $5 are eligible for a New Zealand tax rebate.
At this time of profound suffering, your kindness can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those affected. Together, let us stand in compassion and solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka and support their path to recovery.

About us
NZSLBT is incorporated as a Charitable Trust in 1999 under the provisions of The Charitable Trusts Act 1957. NZSLBT carries responsibility for all administrative matters of Sri Lankaramaya, including the financial management involving its affairs.
Use of funds
Funds will be used for urgent humanitarian assistance — including food, shelter, basic supplies, and support for affected families — through trusted and accountable channels.
