We are a group of the Sunday School students who attends the classes at the mosque and we wish to raise money to renovate the carpet.

Assalamu Alaikum,

This message is from the Sunday School students who gather each week in the masjid to learn about Islam and grow in their faith.

Every Sunday the Sunday School students gather in the masjid's main hall and library to learn about our beautiful religion, strengthen our faith, and grow together as a community. This space has become a place of learning, reflection, and connection for all of us.

However, the carpets in these areas have become worn and are now in need of replacement so that students can sit comfortably while learning.

Allah says in the Qur'an (2:245):

"Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?"

The Prophets also said:

"When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them!"

By contributing to new carpets for the masjid, you are not only helping create a comfortable space for students to learn, you are also taking part in Sadaqah Jariyah which inshaAllah will continue to bring reward to you and this is a beautiful opportunity to invest in ongoing charity.

Carpet renovation's for Alhuda Mosque in Dunedin, New Zealand.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
