Stacey and Dave

My beautiful sister-in-law Stacey has been in and out of hospital for 6 months with a rare renal condition. We still don't have a clear diagnosis for what is going on, but she has not been well for a long time and it is horrible seeing her suffer. Thankfully she has fantastic support from family and friends who have rallied around to help throughout her frequent hospital admissions and constant illness. Stacey and Dave have two young boys who are coping amazingly well with so much disruption to their normal life.

My brother Dave is an apprentice builder who is trying to keep up with full-time work for his new employer, which is even more important with the family now on one income. Because Dave has a job the family is not eligible for any support or financial assistance from the hospital. It seems like such an unfair system. He has to juggle full-time employment with looking after the kids, transporting Stacey back and forward from the hospital, taking care of her, and managing the day-to-day household tasks. After six months of this, combined with the ongoing stress of not having a diagnosis or end in sight, everyone is exhausted.

I have set up this page to try and raise some money for them to use however it's most needed, most likely for a cleaner to help out around the house and for some childcare. Anything that will take the pressure off for this deserving family.
