A plea to help Phills family after his passing.
Bay of Plenty
I am doing this on behalf for a beautiful family that have received multitude hits of trauma in the last few months.
Phill 46 years, dad of 4, has been diagnosed with stage 4 Oesophageal cancer.
Both Phill & his partner losing their jobs due to jab mandates
Phill losing his job at a local mill, started his own business again as a digger driver contractor, to continue to provide for his family.
His wife worked as an amazing wedding celebrant & funeral facilitator before the mandates.
Phil had been suffering anxiety due to mandate pressure, how he was to provide for his family & other extended family & friends health traumas. He thought the indigestion he was experiencing was due to stress. When it was still present a month or so on, he decided to get it looked at.
He was very quickly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, also in his lymphatic system. Since being diagnosed It has escalated extremely quickly, taking this usually very fit, outdoors go getter man to his knees. He is unable to work in his new business or even help on the small family farm.
His wife is now being nurse, mum & farmer to look after Phil & their 2 young kids under 6. Phil has several courses of chemotherapy & a new drug (Pembrolizumab - Keytruda) the specialists want to try.
Their first bill is $20,000 & they haven't even started chemo yet. First treatment is $130k
We ask if you can help this amazing family on their tough journey, as no one is ready to give up on Phills life regardless of what the doctors say.
My relationship to this family is a soul friendship. Family by bond, not by blood but just as strong if not stronger.
All medical expenses, including unfunded treatment Pembrolizumab - Keytruda, travel & accommodation for the family when Phil is in treatment, so he can have his family close for support.
With great sadness 2 August 2022
It is with great sadness & a heavy heart for this beautiful family, that I have to do this update. Phil sadly lost his battle with cancer 8 weeks ago. It was a whirlwind journey that blew everyone involved off their feet & most are only just beginning to stand up & figure out how to now navigate through the next step in the grief journey. Phil sadly left behind 2 young kids 3year & 5 years & 2 older kids in their early 20's, also his loving partner who nursed him in their own home herself, so he could have a peaceful passing around friends & family. She is now holding the fort on her own now & we have decided to keep this page up & running to try & help with building expenses coming in after Phils passing, IE funeral costs, living costs & costs to help the kids in their future. Phil was the sole bread winner of the family while Lysh was the home maker, farm worker, homeschooler. Now she is having to go back to work to be the sole provider, as well as still juggle all these other life chores on top of the grief. It would be grateful if we can help out some more, to make things a little easier so she can have the time to heal through the grieving process & also be there with a little less worry to help the kids through their grief process also..
