I've been diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and am on chemotherapy the oncologist says to buy time. I have two teenagers to support.
Bay of Plenty
I was diagnosed a few months ago with stage 4 ovarian cancer. At the moment I am undergoing chemotherapy and hoping for an operation in the new year. As you can imagine it's been a major shock. I've been hospitalised three times in the last few months with pleural effusions, an anaphylactic shock and c diff. I have two teenagers to support and really don't know what will happen to them. I've been told the chemo is to buy me some time. I believe God knows my days and trusting in him.
I have been selling my music gear in order to stay afloat at the moment. I am intending to use donations to go towards purchasing organic food and and any alternative therapies that may be of use in fighting this disease after chemotherapy has finished. Thanks for your support.
If things don't go to plan I will leave any surplus funds to my children or donate to charity.
11/3/18 Update 11 March 2018
Firstly a huge thank you to everybody who has donated.
Just a quick update to say I have had four rounds of chemotherapy which has thus far worked well. I have two more to complete. I made it to surgery. No one knew if I would ever make it this far. The surgery was as successful as the surgeon could have hoped for. All the cancer that could be seen was taken out and did not involve major organs. They will be relying up on chemotherapy to wipe the microscopic cells up with.
During this testing time I have turned my life to God which has been my strength and my peace. I have also been juicing and trying alternative healthy methods.
My goals for the future are to recover from surgery and then once I can drive again record a few albums.
Below is a link to a song I have recorded pre surgical procedure. This is just a cheap home recording. I'm adding it to a collection on a proper recording later on.
Peace to you all and God bless you. Thank you.
