We’ve set this page up to help ease some of the financial burden for Alisha’s recovery.
West Harbour, Auckland
Alisha is one of the hardest working, kindest people we know. She’s a young single mum of 3, and somehow manages to juggle work, parenting and life - with her signature smile. She has been recently diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer (CA3A1). It’s been a tough road already, with her first surgery on 6 June after doctors found a wide affected area, and now she is facing her 2nd operation on 20 August. She will need at least 4-6 weeks to recover from this operation, which means significant time off work- time she should be able to spend focusing on her health and her kids, not worrying about bills. The remainder of treatment plan will then be decided, until then it is very much a waiting game which is taking its toll on Alisha & her children.
Alisha is a friend & part of our work family.
Every bit raised will go towards giving Alisha support over the next 6 months of recovery. Day to day costs, supporting her children and making sure she can rest and recover without added financial stress.
Alisha's update 26 August 2025
Alisha is nearly one week post-surgery. While still on strong pain relief and in recovery, she’s healing well. Another procedure is planned in two weeks, and its outcome will play a key role in shaping the next steps of her treatment.
She’s grateful to be home with her family, resting and surrounded by love, though the road ahead remains long. Alisha sends heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your kind messages and generous donations. Knowing so many people are thinking of her—near and far—means the world during this challenging time.
