Stand With Marcelo

Blenheim, Marlborough

A routine football match turned into a life-changing event when Marcelo suffered a severe head injury in Chile. Since then, he has been hospitalized and is facing a difficult road ahead.

The financial burden of medical care, tests, treatment, and recovery is significant, and we are asking our community to come together and help ease that burden.

Marcelo has always been someone who supports those around him. Now it's our turn to support him.

Marcelo does not have private medical insurance and is not eligible to access public funding in Chile, as he has been living and working in New Zealand for the past 4 to 5 years.

Every contribution, big or small, brings Marcelo one step closer to recovery. Thank you for standing with Marcelo and his family during this challenging time.

Together, we can make a real difference. ❤️

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
