Starting a Steiner School from the Grassroots
We are so close to opening Northland's first Steiner School.

Hello,
We are a small group of parents from Whangarei. We want to send our children to a school which teaches lessons according to their developmental needs. Where natural teaching aids are used and children are taught a variety of topics in creative ways. With this in mind we decided to start a Steiner Primary School. We have taken our first step and leased a small unused playcentre in Tikipunga. This will enable us to start a preparatory school for 5 and 6 year old children. Our plan is to expand into a full school when we are able.
About us
Our charity was established by parents in Whangarei who want to support schools within the Whangarei area for general education based on Steiner educational philosophy and applied in the context of 21st century Aotearoa New Zealand.
Use of funds
This money will be spent on obtaining resource consent from Council and renovating the building. If we don't meet our goal, all money raised will go towards resource consent
