The Rototuna High School rowing club is a budding new sports club with promising athletes. We are hoping to nurture it into a long standing illustrious sports club.
This profile is made to provide the ability for some online fundraising to help grow and nurture this new sports team.
The high school itself has only been established in 2016 and hence no historical link or boats or returning alumni to help grow the sports team and sponsor the athletes.
The sport is a family based and passionate sport that takes allot of time and commitment from the rowers and their families. This commitment and dedication is paid back in full through performance and wins and more importantly provides an opportunity for the athletes/kids to grow in focus and develop as young mature adults in our society.
Competetive sports provides the pathway to teaching our kids how to push through adversity and strive to win in life no matter the odds. We are hoping they grow as they ride this journey throughout their 5-6 year rowing career while at high school.
Use of funds
All funds raised are to be used for:
*Boat Maintenance
*Coach salaries
*Training Camps
*Transport to Regattas across the country
*Uniform and personal sports equipment
