If you know John you will be aware that he has a love of the outdoors and exercise. Tramping, cycling, waka and squash have been a huge part of his life. However John now has severe osteoarthritis of both knees. This is impacting significantly on his functioning and well-being. John was referred to an Orthopaedic Specialist who recommended Total Knee Joint Replacement surgery. Unfortunately due to the prioritisation system he was not selected for surgery.
John is one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. He does a huge amount of volunteering and is always helping out family, friends and neighbours and doing random acts of kindness for strangers.
Please give a little to enable John to access Stem Cell Treatment. Everything and anything will help! Stem Cell Treatment is a regenerative treatment intended to repair and replace the injured cells and tissues with new ones. It can be extremely effective for people with osteoarthritis of their knees. The NZ Stem Cell Treatment Centre has had a lot of success in treating people with knee osteoarthritis. John’s application for Stem Cell Treatment was approved today.

Progress since Stem Cell Treatment 7 January 2024
It’s been almost 3 months since John had the Stem Cell Treatment to his knees. He has had steady improvement in function, strength and stability and a reduction in pain. We were advised by the Doctor who performed the procedure that improvement can continue for up to 6 months after the procedure. John has been going to the pool to build up strength and function and he is slowly getting back to some of his activities.
We did some before and after videos which I will post on Facebook. The before ones were on 03 October before the Treatment and the after ones were 3 months later, today 07 January.
