Stevie’s Recovery from 17% burns

Stevie is a beautiful, loving, and determined 18-month-old with the happiest spirit, but a burn injury to 17% of her body, requiring skin grafts to 8% has changed her life and that of her devoted parents.

She was emergency airlifted from Blenheim to Hutt Hospital, far from most of her family and support network. Her dad, who works FIFO in WA, had to drop everything and begin the long journey home to be there for his wife and little girl.

It's been a really painful process. Stevie has already had four surgeries, with more likely ahead as an ongoing part of her road to recovery as she heals. On top of the emotional toll, this has brought real financial strain, including lost income while her parents are unable to work. We want to help ease this pressure so they can focus on what matters most — being there for Stevie and each other while they navigate through this tough time together.
