Stolen dirt bike from young teenage boys

Stolen dirt bike from young teenage boys aged 14 and 15 in Auckland.

Auckland

My sons Jamie (15) and Jake (14), had been saving for a dirt bike for months and on the morning of Wednesday 15th May 2019 it was stolen from East Coast Road, Auckland out of our garage.

This was their first dirt bike which they had only had for a matter of weeks. The video shows Jamie learning to ride the bike on the first day, since then both boys can now confidently ride and were making great progress. The bike ignited a passion in the boys. Understandably they are completely heartbroken.

This was a targeted smash and grab, we have had the police for a scene examination including fingerprinting with no luck so they are not taking the case any further. This leads us to believe the bike is gone for good, even with our social media post being shared extensively by everyone.

Unfortunately the bike was not insured and this has brought me to 'Give a Little' to try and help my sons get back in the saddle again. It’s a Kawasaki KX250F and the goal would be to replace it with a similar bike.

Use of funds

The bike became a huge part of all our lives and gave us some good quality time together. We would greatly appreciate any donation, big or small, towards getting the boys back in the saddle again.
