We are rallying community financial support to enable an effective legal objection to the Sand Mining off our beaches.

The Mangawhai Harbour Restoration Society is rallying community financial support to enable a legal objection to the 3 sand mining consent applications to take sand from our Mangawhai to Pakiri beaches .
No coastline in the world could survive the environmental and economic damage that allowing these mining consents to proceed.
New Zealand is the only developed country in the world that allows close to shore sand mining.
If allowed this mining will collapse our sand spit and dune environment structure opening our coastline to the open sea.
The future of Mangawhai is in our hands.....TODAY!
About us
We represent the community in opposing commercial sand mining on our beaches, causing environmental damage that can never be repaired.
Use of funds
Funds raised will be used to engage qualified legal representation to oppose the 3 resource consent applications, plus signage and information flyers to create awareness to this Give A Little campaign.
