Street Tails Event - Pet's Of The Homeless Project 2025

$605 donated
Given by 9 generous donors in 7 weeks

Free vet care, physiotherapy, pet essentials and grooming pet's of the homeless in Christchurch City.

Christchurch, Canterbury

The team at the Animal Physio NZ in Christchurch are running their annual project for the pet's of the homeless “Street Tails''. With this project, we are reaching out to help the homeless in Christchurch care for their pets. Many of the homeless people in Christchurch own pets and they play a big part in their lives. The pets are family and offer unconditional love, friendship, support and security. But owning a pet is costly and that is why we are reaching out to help!

The free services we will provide include a pop-up veterinary care clinic, physiotherapy treatments, grooming treatments, distribution of food, treats, toys, jackets and bedding and more. This event will be held at Christchurch City Mission.

The pets will get full nose-to-tail health checks, annual vaccinations, physiotherapy, flea treatment and worming treatment. Pets that need further medical care will be referred to partnering vet clinics. The pet's will be pampered with massage, grooming, nail clips and of course lots of cuddles and love and will receive many gifts such as warm jackets, blankets, beds, food, treats, toys, and a vet book. The owners will receive support, hot drinks and baked goods.

Thank you so much for your support!
