Street Tails - Providing vet care, grooming, physiotherapy and pet essentials to the Pet's of the Homeless.
Christchurch, Canterbury
The team at the Animal Physio NZ in Christchurch are running their annual project for the pet's of the homeless “Street Tails''. With this project we are reaching out to help the homeless in Christchurch care for their pets. Many of the homeless people in Christchurch own dogs and they play a big part in their lives. The dogs are family and offer unconditional love, friendship, support and security. But owning a dog is costly and that is why we are reaching out to help.
The free services we will provide include a pop up veterinary care clinic, physiotherapy treatments, grooming treatments and distribution of food, treats, jackets and bedding. The pop up clinic will be set up in Latimer Square Christchurch on Sunday the 10th July.
We have an amazing team of volunteers including vets, vet nurses, canine rehabilitation therapists and animal physio technicians. The dogs will get full nose to tail health checks, annual vaccinations, physiotherapy, flea treatment and worming treatment. Dogs that need further medical care will be referred to partnering vet clinics. The dogs will be pampered with massage, grooming, nail clips and of course lots of cuddles and love and will recieve a gift of a warm jacket, blankets, food, treats, toys and a vet book.
Thank you so much for your support!

Funds will be used for essential pet supplies like vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and medications. We will also use the funds for dogs that need further veterinary care and treatments.
