Struggling To Make Ends Meet

Hello, my name is Melinda and I am a mummy to two sweet boys, Roman and Beauden.

I am facing redundancy and will soon be unemployed, due to my medical choices and health and safety policies. I have worked in healthcare for over 12 years, giving to people and like many, am being booted out.

Asking for help is humiliating, but I will struggle to make ends meet for my boys and I.

I am requesting my Kiwisaver funds to cover a personal loan I have, but I don't think they will help. I've had the loan for 8 or so years and have faced so many set backs in life, having to extend it again and again. Now I do not think I can pay it at all and I don't know what to do.

My rent is going up and the cost of living just keeps increasing. It has been a hard year, particularly losing another son at 15 weeks gestation, resulting in medical issues and bills.

I am looking for new employment but as a solo mum, that is always a struggle.

Whilst I am unemployed, I will endeavour to spend more time with my children, undertake work in a charity op shop and start and nurture a vege garden, for myself and those in a similar situation.

I know some people will judge me for this but that is ok. I will take the hit in the hope I can continue to provide for my sons.
