Please help me to stay with my children in New Zealand after a Hague Convention Ruling!!!!
Canterbury
In May 2012, in a Hague Convention ruling, a New Zealand Judge ruled that after only 40 odd days of being in New Zealand with my British husband, my British born and raised children have to stay in New Zealand and had lost their "habitual residence" in the UK. (Now aged five and seven years old).
However, my visa was not taken into consideration. I have fought for the past three years to stay here, In NZ, with my children. In June 2015 my visa will expire. I have self represented throughout and have been told that there is no visa I can apply for now, to be able to work and support my children. I contacted John Key, The PM of New Zealand in 2012, i'm still waiting for his official reply. I also received an email from the Minister of Immigration's office in New Zealand saying that my case didn't warrant ministerial intervention. I have contacted the same in the UK but with no response.
I have shared care and work all that I can. I receive no benefits, nor help from the UK gov and NZ gov.
Immigration will give me no information on my children's visa as my husband was able to keep them on his residency application.
So here i find myself, caught between a hard rock and a stone. I would like to be able to hire an amazing immigration lawyer to help me stay with my children, but unfortunately they are not cheap. I have no family here and am on my own!!!
Please help my children to have their mother in their lives!!!!
