Mum (Sue) has been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.

Wellington

Mum has been off work for 2 Months staying with me in Kapiti trying to find out what was wrong with her. She has been getting progressively worse. We finally found out 2 weeks ago she has Pancreatic cancer. She was sent home to die. Luckily I found a Pancreatic specialist in Auckland willing to operate. The operation is on the 18th of march it takes 9 hrs. She will be in ICU for 2 weeks and at least 2 weeks on a ward. So far it has cost well over $2000 in airfares alone. A expense that is putting pressure on our family that isn't needed at the moment. We want to be there with her, as she has always been there for us. And hopefully with this page it will take some pressure off and allow us to visit and stay. All money raised will go towards airfares, accommodation and will hopefully allow dad to take time off when needed.

Okay some of you know. And for those that don't I'm sorry you had to find out like this. Mum really didn't want anyone to know she was sick and to be honest she still doesn't want people to know. She doesn't want to cause other people pain or stress. Her and dad aren't happy I set up this page as they don't like asking for help, but honestly the financial stress is getting to them. And it breaks my heart knowing they are worried about money at a time like this. I know there are a lot of people out there that would like to help, So here is a way you can (please only give if you can afford).

They are always helping people and never ask for help themselves. Hopefully this will take some pressure off. Much love to you all.

surgery  18 March 2016

Mum has gone in for the pre op part. Will take about an hour to get her ready for surgery. Dad and Damond are allowed to be with her during that time. They will leave once the surgeons are ready for her to be sedated. We are hoping to hear from the surgeons at around 3pm. Will update again once I hear how it has all gone. Thank you all for your support and kind wishes. Xx
