Sunnyvue lodge respite

Thought I'd write a little bit about myself my journey into the disability world started when my daughter Winnie was born. Three healthy siblings born before her. Mother's instinct, I knew as soon as she was born something wasn't quite right. After numerous tests, and trips to hospital our little girl was diagnosed with CP. After a process of grieving for the loss of an able bodied child I realised that although she was different she was still mine she was beautiful. Our little girl has a fight and a strength in her that is more powerful than the CP itself. I understand the struggle and the demands on family's with children with SNs.I also understand the impact it has on their siblings .Our family unit is a beautiful blended family of 6 children ranging from 8-14 years. We are a fun, loving, 2 -somewhat quirky bunch that strive to provide ordinary life opportunities to our wee girl. You may think, gosh that's a lot of children! Yes it is, but we wouldn't have it any other way....our home is busy, fun and sometimes crazy, a home we would love to share with your loved one. Kevin and i are very proud of all of our children, each unique, loving and caring. So here we are deciding to open our home for respite care we want to help families with children with SNs and their siblings. I believe we have a lot to offer, experienced carer, farm environment and a safe home for all children to explore regardless of their disability. Our lodge is our home, it is a peaceful, tranquil place to come and play, laugh and have fun. We promise you will leave with a smile.

The money will be used for hay for the horses ponys and goats at the lodge for the winter.
