Helping a local family rebuild after the sudden loss of a loving mum and wife.

A beautiful local family we’re close friends with has had their world turned upside down after a sudden and unimaginable loss.

This family moved to New Zealand from South Africa about a year and a half ago, chasing a better life for their two children, an 8 year old boy and a teenage girl. They are kind, hardworking, and deeply loved by everyone who meets them. Their young son is best friends with our boy, and their daughter is close with our daughter.

Over the weekend, while we were all at a local community event, the mum suddenly became unwell and was taken to hospital. Despite the efforts, she sadly passed away soon after. Her loving husband and children are now facing life without her far from their extended family and support network.

We’ve set up this page to help ease the financial pressure during this heartbreaking time. Funds raised will go directly to the family to help with:
