Hi Everyone

Patricia Rodrigues and I are Jiu Jitsu black belts representing DS Team Jiu Jitsu New Zealand under Sensei Douglas Santos. For the past eight years, we have dedicated ourselves to training and competing, and now we are preparing for our biggest challenge—our black belt debut at the IBJJF World Masters Championships in Las Vegas on August 27th-30th 2025.

Having pursued three World Championship journeys together, this one represents our lifelong dream.

Patricia Rodrigues is a 4x World Champion and multiple-time Oceanic Champion with unmatched dedication. She is a powerhouse that dominates at the highest level while inspiring women in Jiu Jitsu, and shaping the next generation. Relentlessly pushing limits, she stands among the world’s elite, proving that you can achieve anything you put your mind too.

Alix Bartholomew is a 3x IBJJF World Champion and multiple-time Oceanic Champion. A serious, dedicated, and passionate competitor, she is known for her ambition and unwavering commitment to excellence. With a relentless drive to succeed, she continuously pushes herself to new heights, striving for greatness and success on the World Stage.

Jiu Jitsu is a self-funded sport in New Zealand, and balancing full-time work with training is a challenge.

We need help covering flights and accommodation so we can focus on training, represent our team, and inspire others to chase their dreams.
