Akoma Ntoaso (Linked Hearts) African Creators Initiative! Bi-monthly we are uplifting an African / Afro descent creator and their practice. These creators are based in Africa or within the diaspora.

All creators and their practices should be uplifted where they are at. As we know there can be a big lack of resources and support within the creative industry. We believe that it is the community that needs to nourish and sustain this support, offering ways to give back to each other in order for us to thrive in our practices and together create authentic connections.

Oluwatobi Adedayo Olumide, founder of Decision Sacred Art Gallery in Ile-Ife Nigeria is a Yorùbá painter, sculptor and master Adire (Indigenous tie and dye) textile artist. Born and raised in Osogbo, at a young age he found himself dreaming about art and scribbling figures. Graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts he then began running his own business at 23 where he is now passing down his craft.

Oluwatobi's art explores the cultural and traditional stories of African and Black identity through various symbology and motifs. Expressing the power of who we are within our traditions that hold keys to our sustenance.
