    Kia ora everyone,

It’s been two months since our last update, and Clay has made some encouraging progress — including small movements in his legs. He continues rehab at Burwood Hospital with hydrotherapy, the FES bike, and daily physio.

Clay is set to return home to the Tuki Tuki River in late August, where new ramps (designed to blend seamlessly with the house) will support his independence in an electric wheelchair. A dedicated care team will be with him 24/7, assisting not just with daily needs but also creative projects and outings.

He sent me this video to share with you — a glimpse of his journey and the strength he continues to show.

Clay and Rochelle are deeply moved by the aroha and support from this incredible community.

    Sahaj Marg, Prem se!

    Ngā mihi nui ❤️

    Tim

  • Musings from Clayton

    Hi everyone,

Here's Clayton’s latest weekly update, where he shares his recent progress, personal reflections, and insights into meditation and exploring different states of consciousness. Clayton invites anyone curious to try meditation for themselves, sharing how it's positively impacted his own journey.

I've been following this meditation practice daily since Clayton introduced me to it—practicing, making it a genuine personal experience—and have found it incredibly helpful, calming, and effective for personal growth. I highly recommend giving it a go!

And for those interested or inclined to join in; below is a description from Ravi in our group of how to do the 9pm prayer. It has been happening all over the world for 70 odd years as part of the Heartfulness practice.

UNIVERSAL PRAYER FOR CLAYTON AND ALL OTHERS

When others suffer, we feel it deeply—often with a sense of helplessness. Heartfulness offers us a simple yet powerful practice to bring healing into our hearts and to invoke the help of something greater than us.

In this spirit, prayer becomes an act of love and humility—a quiet offering for the well-being of all our fellow beings.

I invite each of you to join in a collective moment of prayer every evening at 9:00 PM for 10 minutes , dedicated to the healing of all, especially for our dear Clayton.

It is said that when hearts unite in prayer at the same time, the impact is magnified. More than words, it is the feeling we generate in our hearts that truly matters.

Let us pray in two parts:

    1. Begin with Clayton.

Hold him in your heart with deep love and unwavering faith. Long for his healing—especially envisioning the full use of his hands and legs.

Love heals. Faith connects. Longing opens the door to grace.

    2. Then expand your feelings to all.

Imagine this same love and faith flowing outward - touching every heart, inspiring devotion, and strengthening real inner faith in all beings.

A wee video from Clayton after our morning chat. He is talking about an all terrain. Wheel chair for the horse paddock. He will get a chair that is Bluetooth controlled for around home and town but has a dream to have an off road chair too. (I think he's channelling landrover) Maybe with a manure picker upper thing!

All your generious gifts and well wishes are gratefully recieved. Tim

  • Update Monday 31st March from Chelle

To you all…. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts (again there are no adequate words)…. We have been blown away by the outpouring of love and support we are receiving from all over the world, from old friends and new friends…. Spanning friends from our times in Sth Africa, England, India, Australia & New Zealand. If I said my “gratitude” prayers for the rest of my life I’m not sure I’d cover everything I’m currently grateful for! As crazy as that sounds that is how we feel!! On a million different levels.

It’s been 3 weeks now. Clay is medically stable-ish and has moved to the Burwood Spinal Rehab Unit (it’s technically a Hospital but I like to say just Burwood).

“Physio” started immediately in ICU with breathing exercises and limb manipulations but today is the big milestone - a 10-day protocol to get into an electric chair!! Maintaining Blood pressure after lying for so long is the key here hence it takes 10 days to “get upright” again. But he is pumped and ready to go”.

As always Clay has his daughters on his mind which obviously extends to the horses and paddocks… and how he’ll get down there… we found a possible solution and hoping this fund could go towards that goal… see pic!!!

Thanks for being part of this ride…

    Chelle xx
