Connor is 17 and loves to throw the discus. Connor has been training and working hard and has been successful in being selected to represent New Zealand in Discus for the Youth Olympic Games. These games will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Being selected to represent New Zealand at the Youth Olympics is both an honour and a fantastic opportunity to complete against the best discus throwers in the world.

Connor was able to compete last year at the Commonwealth Youth Games and took out the gold medal. Connor is also the current NZ National U18 and U20 Discus Champion as well as the current Senior Boys Secondary School Discus Champion. Leading up to the games Connor is in great form with a world leading throw for an under 18yr old this year. Connor is one of only five track and field athletes from New Zealand to be selected for the Youth Olympics.

As Connor's very proud Mum, I am supporting Connor in this worthy cause. Connor is training hard and is giving it everything he has to do his very best at this event and to represent New Zealand at the 2018 Youth Olympics.
