I am currently studying in Tauranga as an international student, and I am really in need of money to support me with my education next year.
Bay of Plenty
To whom it may concern,
My name is Selia Nguyen, and I am from Vietnam. Last year, I was given a chance to study abroad in New Zealand and now I am currently a year 13 student in Aquinas College, Tauranga.
After living in New Zealand for more than one and a half year, I have to agree that this place is such an awesome country to build and develop my future life. Why is New Zealand such a good place for me? Well, that is because it has surprisingly friendly supportive people, unbelievable amount of opportunities for skills/jobs, and many chances to make the world a better place by volunteering. I dream of gaining further education, more skills and knowledge to be able to become a fabulous game designer/modeller, and I have found that New Zealand has a school called Media Design School in Auckland which covers everything I need for my dream job.
However, as the immigration law here has changed, I have a more difficult time living here. My hopes and dreams are on the line even more when I heard the news that my family financial has become a nightmare. Despite saying so, my family should still be able to cover at least half of my expenses for next year. In order to be able to help my family pay off the required school fees (more than $26,000 according to the school website https://www.mediadesignschool.com/enrolment/fees/all-fees#foundation-course), I have been working as a part-timer. In addition to that, I plan to bake cookies and sell it in my school for a decent and reasonable price.
As an international student I will need approximately $40,000 for my course fees and living expenses ( I refer to this website for living costs annually: https://www.studyinnewzealand.govt.nz/live-work/cost-of-living) in 2018. So far, I have earned approximately $1,400, but that's only be able to cover the first month of living here.
I greatly appreciate the time you spend on reading this and any forms of donation you may give. It really means a lot to me as I would be able to grow up in a friendly and developed country like New Zealand! The money raised will go towards my tuition, accommodation and living expenses.
Thank you so much for your support. Every little bit (even as little as $1) you give can make a big difference in my future.
I wish you all have a good day.
Warm regards,
Selia Nguyen.
Funds raised will be used to help me with my intuition and living costs next year.
