One month ago today Albie was having open heart surgery. Seven hours, a new pulmonary valve, a new pulmonary artery. A truly agonising time, that we are still recovering from in all sorts of ways.

Thankyou to you all so much for all the incredible love and support that has been wrapped around us all.

Words really underserve the feelings we have, but I thought I'd write a wee update on how useful and appreciated your support has been.

Firstly it was really wonderful that I could have over a month off work and not feel financial pressure. It was also brilliant to be able to support our supporters, covering flights and accommodation where it was needed.

Albie is doing remarkably well now physically and we remain optimistic that the surgery has sorted out his electrical issues which were causing his chest pains (we won't really know till he starts running about, but fingers are firmly crossed ). With the support we've received we got Albie an e-scooter to help him whilst he recovers some level of fitness.

Emotionally and mentally, there is certainly work to do and we are utilising art therapy to help him process his big feelings about feeling broken. Again this is happening easily because of your support.

A special thanks has to go to Inga who put this all together. Again, words fail me.

Thankyou to you all for being alongside us on this beautiful, crazy life, guiding and holding us when times got tough. We are so, so, so lucky - and we sure do hope we get to see you one day soon, and thankyou properly in person.

    Peace, light and love,

    FAMS XXX
