Support for Eli Scott, #1 ranked New Zealand Judoka as he heads to Australian Schools Competition.
Hamilton, Waikato
Please help support Eli Scott as he heads to the Australian Schools and Queensland International Open Judo competitions in Brisbane 21-22 September 2024. He will be representing Hamilton Boys High School at the Australian Schools Competition and Waikato Bays Judo at the Queensland International Open.
Eli's recent national and international accomplishments include:
2023 Medalist at Queensland Open
2023 New Zealand national champion and #1 ranked NZ Judoka in age & weight category
2024 Current #1 ranked NZ Judoka in age & weight category
Eli has just completed blue belt grading, supports with coaching Peewees and Juniors at our club Henkada and is set for a bright future already showing leadership within our local community by giving back to the sport. He is an excellent example embodying the Judo values of Respect, Modesty, Sincerity, Friendship, Honour, Politeness & Self Control.
Judo is a self-funded sport in New Zealand and any financial support is greatly appreciated.

Australian Schools Competition 21 September 2024
Eli was wrapped to make weigh in yesterday morning. He fought well in the Australian Secondary Schools competition at Chandler Arena, Brisbane, Australia. Lost the first fight, won the second with a hold down and lost the third bronze medal match coming in at 5th place overall (again, like same as in 2023). He's pleased to have some different Judoka to time on the competition tatami against and is learning from these experiences. He was excited (in his low key way) to meet the legendary Henkada / Sydney Judo superstar Ivica Pavlinic, or perhaps Dad was more excited. He's feeling good about today's Queensland International Open and would like to say thanks to you all for providing support for his Australian journey.
