To help support Baydon & The Browns through Baydons journey to recovery.
Nelson / Tasman
For those of you who don't already know, our family has found out that Baydon has unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer again after only recovering 3 short months ago. For those of you don't know Baydon he was born with a condition called Cystic Fibrosis also known as CF. CF affects a number of organs in the body (especially the lungs and pancreas) by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus. This can cause shortness of breath, a chronic cough and repeated chest infections. If the blockages affect the pancreas this will reduce or stop enzymes from being released to digest food, causing problems with poor weight gain and malnutrition due to malabsorption.
At present there is no cure for CF.
Baydons condition will make treating his cancer very difficult and a long journey to recovery, he will need to under go treatment for his Cystic Fibrosis first to make sure his lungs are in the best condition they can be before beginning treatment for his cancer. Baydon will be travelling to Christchurch early next week to meet with a team of specialists to create a new plan for his journey to recovery AGAIN!
Baydon will have to stay in Christchurch throughout his journey and as most of you know we're all based here in Nelson. Marnie and Kelvin, Baydons parents would love to be with him the entire time but due to expenses this won't be possible, therefore any donations would be more appreciated than you could ever imagine. Please support Baydon and our amazing family!
You're a soldier bro, you've got this, AGAIN!
I'm Baydons sister-in-law and am doing anything I can to help support our family through this unfortunate time.
All donations will be used to go towards travel expenses, living costs during our families time in Christchurch while Baydon endures treatment and help keep things ticking over at home while Marnie and Kelvin spend time with Baydon in Christchurch.
