Matt Cloke was tragically taken from us on Tuesday 12th May through a currently undiagnosed medical event. Matt died doing what he loved, fishing on the banks of the Waipa River.
Matt has left behind his loving wife Carlena (nee Brown) and their two young daughters Sienna (6) and Shaniece (3). Matt was the main provider for the family which leaves a challenging future ahead for the girls.
They are loved members of the Te Uku and Te Mata communities and it would be amazing if the community can get behind the family. Every little bit will help and will be greatly appreciated.
Sue has been heavily involved in supporting the Cloke's and the kids and is a big part of their lives.
All funds received will be put towards the future of Carlena and the girls.
Update from me and the girls 20 August 2020
The girls and I have spent the last few months packing up our home at Te Uku and shifting in at my family's farm in Te Mata. We are slowly adjusting to our new life, taking one day at a time. Again we just want to thank everyone for their continual support and kindness. Times like these, it emphasizes the importance of friends, family and the community. Matt is always in our thoughts xxx
